What is covered with collision coverage?
Collision coverage helps pay to repair or replace your insured vehicle after a covered collision with another vehicle or object, or a rollover, regardless of who caused the accident. Your selected deductible generally applies. For example, it may help if you hit a guardrail or back into another car. Collision coverage does not pay for injuries or damage you cause to someone else’s property; those fall under separate coverages.
Does my car insurance include glass coverage?
Your policy may cover windshield or window damage if you carry the applicable coverage. Comprehensive coverage generally covers glass damage from events such as a flying rock or vandalism, while collision-related glass damage may fall under collision coverage. Your deductible and policy terms determine what you may pay out of pocket. Our Las Vegas State Farm team can review your policy and explain your glass coverage.
How much liability coverage do I have?
Your auto insurance declarations page lists your bodily injury and property damage liability limits. These coverages help pay for covered injuries or property damage you cause to others. Nevada requires minimum limits of $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for bodily injury, plus $20,000 per accident for property damage, often written as 25/50/20. Your selected limits may be higher. Our Las Vegas team can help you find your limits and discuss whether they fit your needs
Do I have rental car coverage with my auto insurance?
Check your declarations page for rental reimbursement or car rental expense coverage, or contact our office to confirm. This optional coverage may help pay for a rental vehicle while your insured car is unavailable because of a covered comprehensive or collision loss, subject to daily and per-loss limits. It is different from coverage that may apply when you drive a rental car on vacation. Our Las Vegas State Farm team can explain both and review what your policy includes
